2014 In Review

2014 has been a real roller coaster.

And by roller coaster I don’t mean that 2014 has been a year with ups, downs, and twists (though I’ve had plenty of all three), I mean that it’s been an incredible ride and a lot of fun.  I want to say a huge thank-you to everyone that’s taken the journey with me – I hope you all had a great year as well.

As we head into the night of craziness (at least for most of us… okay, at least for some of us… okay, at least for me) that is New Year’s Eve, it isn’t too early to start planning for 2015.  No matter what, it’s important to make sure each year is a year where you move forward, whether it’s with your job, relationships, or life in general.  Never stop pushing yourself.

For those of us that are weird enough to call ourselves writers, this year should be the year you write the best book, poem, short-story, chapter, sentence, that you ever have in your entire life.  If you make the resolution to write more, think more, put yourself out there more, I promise that it’ll happen.

What are your plans for 2015?  What do you want to accomplish?  What are your fears for the coming year?  Your hopes?  Your dreams?

Thanks to the WordPress.com stats helper monkeys for preparing a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Happy New Year everyone.

  1. Best of luck for your 2015! I love the review WordPress put together, it made my blog sound so much more fun and entertaining than I sometimes perceived it to be 🙂

  2. At the end of 2014 I got brave enough to finally click ‘publish’ and share my thoughts, stories and essays with others. 2015 I’d like to be bolder, braver and write more. I love your blog, it’s one of my very favorites. Happy New Year!

  3. I am planning to take my writing to the next level in 2015 that’s why I signed for more courses to further hone my skills. There is still plenty to learn and a vast room for improvement. I will absorb all that I need to learn to better my craft. Contemplating to do NaNo by the end of next year and hopefully I can start the book I am planning to write since a long time.

  4. Well done for garnering so many followers, mine would fit in a shoebox !
In May 2015 I’ll publish my first novel, set on the Greek island of Crete. I’m hoping it will appeal to people who enjoy a story set in a location where they took a vacation.

Happy New Year to you and your readers X
